hullo friends, i'm finally getting around to posting a proper journal entry.

our trip to ocala was a lot of fun, and our magazine won seven awards, so yay us. we met a lot of fantastic people and got rather drunk with them. everyone that i took a photo of demanded that i find them on facebook and tag them. hmmm.

i ventured up to the roof of our hotel, which was interesting and incredibly stupid as i am terrified of heights (and the hotel was nine stories high). i took photos though, so it was worth it. i'll be posting those soon.

ocala likes to call itself the "horse capital of the world" and the hotel was practically carpeted in them. well, not literally, but there were a ridiculous amount of paintings/photos/statues/whatnot of horses, not to mention the clydesdale that they keep in a field behind the hotel. i never gave much thought to horses before, but i am officially sick of them.

on another note, the miyavi concert that i was painfully excited over? yeah, it was canceled. yet another big "fuck you!" from the universe.

hmm, what else. my life is really uninteresting, i'm stretching this out.

i rediscovered yann black ([link]) today, my favourite tattoo artist. his work makes me weak in the knees. too bad he's in canada. i think for my next piece i'd like to get something on my chest to tie my heart tattoos together (not to mention get them fixed up, they look awful), but i have absolutely no ideas on the whole matter. to those of you who know what i like- any thoughts?
